Dear Friends and Supporters of Bukasa-
Good news is emerging from Uganda! The country’s President has lifted some of the restrictions that have been in place for many months. Churches are now open! Work has also resumed (though not to full capacity) with the required use of masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing. Even with these limits, this is good news for many of the poorest who depend on regular daily income to provide basic needs for their families. In addition, the President has allowed school to resume on January 17, 2022.
Please consider giving a generous gift now to help Pastor George, as he and his team prepare to reopen Ever Increasing Children’s Center. Their projects include:
~ a fresh coat of paint for all classrooms
~ food/water supplies ordered and housed for future need
~ school supplies purchased and ready
~ regular maintenance of desks, rooms, and facilities
~ accurate accounting of returning students
~ staff hiring and training as needed
~ curriculum procured for implementation, etc.
Pastor George and his staff express their deepest appreciation for your continued support through these many difficult months. They are hopeful that they soon will be able to carry on in an almost normal fashion moving forward. He will continue to provide us with updates as things develop.
He has also promised to send an update and photos of Peace and Mercy Nabwire, the sisters who were injured in August in the bota-bota accident. I will send this information along when I receive it.
Thank you again for your continued support and prayers for Pastor George and Ever Increasing Children Center. Your support and faithful giving have been the hands and feet of Christ to hundreds of families during the past 19 months.
Serving Christ together,
