Classroom Closures and…Building Campaign!

Dear Supporters and Friends of Bukasa-

Schools are back in full swing, students are returning, and Ever Increasing Children’s Center student enrollment is approaching 350! We are grateful to God for the return to classrooms but with the good news comes another challenge.

Because of the bombings in Kampala in late 2021, the government has ordered schools in the surrounding area to close classrooms adjacent to any roadway or near an easy access point. As a result Ever Increasing Children’s Center has had to vacate two classrooms. The fifty+ affected students are temporarily meeting inside the church, which offers a poor learning environment.

Pastor George will rent the two vacant rooms to help generate income for the school. At the same time iheartBukasa is launching a Building Campaign to provide funds to construct two new classrooms! Once the project is fully funded the rooms will be move-in ready in less than two months! And here’s more good news: of the $20,000 needed for property, materials, and labor we have already raised $4000!

Would you consider partnering with us to complete this project? No amount is too small. Online donations can easily be made by visiting our website atbukasa.org. There is no “Building Campaign” designation at the website so after making your donation, please email your giving amount to info@bukasa.org, so we can track a running total.

Thanks in advance for your willingness to help! We are grateful for the Lord’s provision through your generous giving. Over the past 13 years we have seen the amazing ways God has faithfully provided:

-new classrooms to accommodate school growth
-the hiring of additional qualified teachers
-emergency food relief
-emergency medical attention
-sanitation supplies
-a school van
-construction of Teacher Quarters
-painting interior/exterior of school
-shoes
-Bibles
-installation of a drainage system to prevent flooding during rain
-student benches
-tables and chairs for Nursery section

Thank you for your love and care for the children of EICC. May God bless you as you bless our Bukasa students! We look forward to reporting how God continues to make a way!
