Dear Bukasa Supporters-
We are home from Africa after a fantastic visit with our friends in Bukasa! It was gratifying to see the changes in the school since 2017. We saw the teacher quarters, the new finished classrooms, and the new water well in action.
We were less involved with projects on this trip which allowed more time to interact with people. Being with friends, meeting new students, and hosting the Teacher Appreciation dinner was the highlight of our week.
Our schedule included:
~purchase and delivery of Bibles for adults and students
~taking photos of many Sponsored students
~delivery of backpacks and letters from sponsors
~providing over-the-counter medications
~Hosting a Teacher Appreciation dinner
~and meeting with representatives of Partners Worldwide, a ministry working to relieve poverty through small business development.
As Joel and I were on the ground we were again reminded of the great need and the great benefit children experience by attending school. Thank you for your loyal support of iheartBukasa and Ever Increasing Children’s Center- which exists to provide education and Biblical instruction to the youngsters of Bukasa.
“The Lord’s doing a mighty work on this side and that side.”, Pastor George often says. If you would like to get involved in that “mighty work”, consider joining us on our next trip to Bukasa scheduled within the next 12-14 months. I’m now working to assemble a team and I welcome you to join us! If interested, contact me and we can begin to put things in motion.
