Dear Bukasa Supporters-
We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas season with family and friends. We pray the Lord’s blessings and provision for you and your family for 2023.
Through your generosity and support GREAT things were accomplished in Bukasa during 2022:
1) Last March new property was purchased and construction started on a two-level, four-classroom building to replace classrooms no longer available for student use. Because of your generous end-of-year giving the structure is scheduled to be finished, outfitted with desks, materials, supplies, and available for occupancy by February 2023, the start of the new semester.
2) In May of 2022 a new community water well was installed within yards of the school- a huge asset to both the school and local community.
3) Also during May, 15 more students were sponsored at Ever Increasing Children’s Center, bringing our number of sponsored students to 65, out of a total enrollment of 350.
4) And as recently as December, a new computer system was purchased and installed in the school office.
Through many hands and generous hearts, God continues His favor and blessing on Pastor George’s ministry. Just last week we were notified from Christian Foundation of America that our grant application was selected to receive a $9800 award from their 2022 “Inspiring Generosity” Grants Program. We will attend their yearly recipients’ banquet and receive our award on March 30, 2023.
The above grant funds are specifically earmarked for the upcoming semester to provide: math, literacy and language materials; religious resources; exams; basic classroom supplies; new furniture; meal supplies, (beans, rice, maize, flour); installation of adequate lighting in classrooms; graduation events; cost of utilities; maintenance/cleaning supplies; and teacher salaries.Thank you for your part in helping make this past year successful and making possible a more hopeful future for Pastor George and the students of Ever Increasing Children’s Center. We look forward to partnering with you in 2023.
